He comes in the door and say's: Mom & Dad I've been away at College and I found out that all your conservative views are a bunch of crap and self-serving garbage. Dad being wise says: Well, how are you grades? Son says: GREAT, I've worked hard and have a perfect 4.0, then Dad ask how is your friend Mark doing?..Son: Dad he is goffing off, partying and having a good O'le time...he's got a 2.0 gpa....then Dad say's well why don't you give give Mark one of your points then you will both have a 3.0? Son EXPLODES, Dad 1st they don't allow that 2nd I've worked hard for my 4.0 while Mark is out having a good O'le time...it wouldn't be fair for him to ride for free on my hard work...THAT'S JUST WRONG Dad..I've earned that 4.0..not Mark.

Father to Son: Son are you sure your a liberal?

Why do parents sacrifice and save just to sent their offspring to academia, where anyone who is not suffering from head-in-the-sand syndrome KNOWS there will only be one point of view, that of the left, presented or tolerated? If people would simply not play the whole university game and vote with their funds against these closed-mind institutions by sending their kids elsewhere, there would be a lot less of the situation you have described going on. There are a few reality-based centers of higher education left, and often they are hurting for students. Places like Harvard, UCLA and other leftist indoctrination mills are coasting on reputation inertia. In the past these degrees meant something. Now they simply mean the person bearing them played the game and parroted the correct answers long enough to get urped out as a graduate.
It is interesting that people from Asia are waking up to this. I teach English as a second language and hear from my Chinese and Japanese students that many of them are no longer bothering to come to the big name ivy-festooned colleges here any more, they simply arent worth the time. They dont want the indoctrination, they want to get an education.
It all makes me sad, so I will go home now.

Good story..
I dont favor either side..In my view....Its like flipping an old dirty coin...One person might say the heads side is shiner one might say the other..

Either way its their just two sides of the same dirty coin...

They're both corrupt, but just in different ways.

I hardly see any campaign commercials where the candidates talk about their issues. They merely trash the other guy..They just try to say "Yea I suck...But not as much as this guy".

The campaign comercials are only a few step behind being like this

"Candidate Douche bag is fat and smelly"
I'm Senator Dicktwat and I approved this message

"Senator Dicktwat is a poo-poo head"
I'm senator douchebag and I approved this message.

Simple, The son is a rational liberal. The father is just blowing his self-serving garbage on Yahoo answers to show his witty-ness. As the son is still a college know-it -all, he just needs to frame his answer better.

The best way to judge the long term benefits of liberals vs. conservatives, just look at one simple indicator.

After leaving office, what have Liberal Presidents achieved vs. the achievements of conservative presidents....

If you the conservative readers of this message have to think more than 2 minutes, they are reaching.

i don't have a lot journey in this section because i'm no longer a be certain, yet i imagine you need to settle for them. i comprehend it sounds very cliche even with the undeniable fact that it truly is probable purely right. you does no longer favor to dismiss them because they're your baby and also you would in no way favor to push them away or cause them to hate you. you need to continually take a seat and communicate with them; ask them why they believe this and per chance have a discuss it. yet, if it truly is what they believe then you might want to settle for them. in case you want your baby (and others) to appreciate your non secular judgements then you ought to settle for theirs. it truly is the in problem-free words thanks to keep the peace.

I think "Good for you Son"..."I'm an independent myself, but I'm glad you didn't become a conservative piece of garbage"....

In respose to your joke....and I use that word lightly...
The question should really be "Son, would you rather give that point to your friend Mark or would you rather give it to the war machine to fight some dimwit's privite war?"

Liberals aren't communists. Keeping people from starving doesn't cost nearly as much as conservatives would have you believe. The conservatives waste all your money on equipment for war, and somehow still manage to say the army is under-equiped. Liberals get nutty in other ways, but they don't give away your money as freely as conservatives do.

ROFLMAO - I must share this

It is just like the Canadian version of the ant and the grasshopper.

The ant works hard all summer, and the grasshopper goofs off.

Come winter, the grasshopper goes before national TV on the CBC and gives this sob story of how he is hard done by and is going to freeze and starve while the cold-hearted ant is living in warmth and comfort - it's not fair!

So the (former Liberal) government strikes up a committee to investigate the cause of such injustice, then takes away the ant's home and gives it to the grasshopper. The ant moves to the US and becomes rich and famous. The grasshopper accidentally burns down the ant's home and dies of a drug overdose.

Excellent!!!

Liberals are just conservatives that haven't been on the giving end of their concepts and ideas. It's great to give to charity of your own free will, but forced charity through government is ALWAYS bad.

1 - There are too many middlemen taking money before it gets to the needy.

2 - The "needy" aren't necessarily needy. They are very often just lazy con artists who know how to work the system.

3 - It takes away the giver's feeling of being generous. Aren't liberals all about feelings?
