Yes Nery said he will play for Mexico why is this because Mexico usaully always qualifies for the world cup and many other events plus Nery knows his chances are better playing with Mexico because Uraguay would be harder to get a starting spot. As for Gio his mother is Mexican and father Brazilian so he is an automatic for Mexico.

Well Hugo Sanchez sended one of his assistants to talk to Nery Castillo, to let him know what are the plans Hugo has for him. Apparently Nery accepted to play for Mexico, but at the end nothing is for sure. I have read other information that says that Nery has accepted not only to play for Uruguay but to play for Greece as well. But one thing is for sure Hugo Sanchez is doing all he can to get Nery and Giovanni Dos Santos.

if he was smart mexico, but hes mexican so hes probably not, he will play for Uruguay
