i am not pregnant yet, but when i am i should be really prepared lol
because both myself and my hubby has ongoing medical issues, we already have a bag packed for the both of us with general toiletry items. weve set aside clothes to throw in the suitcase as well
but in answer to your question, i would say pack your bag by the 5th month.
they say a baby is viable at 27 weeks so i would be prepared!

You should just have a light bag to take, a nightgown for the third day, a book and some makeup. Pack it now.
Pack a second bag with going home clothes for you and the baby in the 7th month. That can be brought later on..

i got my bag packed as soon as i got everything for the baby, but i really didn't need all that. all u need is your own night gown or something like that inless u wanna wear the hospital gown the whole time and a change of clothes to go home in and a change of clothes for the baby to go home in they supply the food and diapers and wipes in the hospital while ur there. u might wanna bring some money b/c i was always at the snack machine downstairs. good luck. but pack it right away just to make sure, u never know if the baby might want to come out early.

I just packed mine last weekend. I am one of those procrastination kind of people..but then on Saturday evening, I just wasn't feeling right and was having some light contractions...so I paniced! I got up at midnight, washed all of the baby's clothes and packed my bag the next morning! But here i am...still pregnant! I am 36 weeks tomorrow....You just never know when it's going to happen...better to be prepared than frantic and rushed!
Good luck and Congratulations!

I packed mine at 35 weeks. I went into labor at 36 weeks! I recommend you bring at least 3 pairs of underwear-- they will give you "disposable" gauzy-type undies, but they sometimes don't stay up on their own! I wore my own underwear over the disposable ones... remember, you will have on a BIG sanitary pad, and an ice pack (for 24 hrs).
I also brought two nightgowns, a robe, brush, ponytail holders, three pairs of socks, chapstick, deodorant, toothbrush/paste, a sportsbra (if you are nursing, a nursing bra), a pair of sweatpants/t shirt for going home, a camera, and a pillow.
For baby: a blanket, a baby t-shirt, picture taking outfit, and carseat.
Good Luck!

In my opinon, whenever you'd like. Get the basics in there.
Your own nighty, baby's comming home outfit, nice shampoo and conditioner, little nightlight, etc. You can add things as think of them along your pregnancy.Try to limit it to a carry-on baggage size. The hospital will have everything you absolutly need.

Bags? How long are you planning on going? You only need a nighty for afterwards, and a few nappies.
