I am adopted, and I personally never had the desire to look for my "real" parents, My parents explained to me since I can remember, why my biological mother had to give me up, and they were such good and loving parents, that I never wondered.
And especially after I had my own children, did I realize that giving birth did not a mother make. My brother on the other hand, wanted to for a short while in his adolescent life, but never did.
It's not so much of not caring, as it is just letting it go....

Each person is different, but knowing the way I am, I would look, just so I can find out what happened, land then maybe have complete closure. I would not want anything, I would just want to know, because there are so many reasons out there. Just to give you one quick story, my friend got pregnant when she was 14, and had a son, but the mother worked somehting out with the doctor, who then told this girl that the baby had died and nothing more was said or done, and the baby was given up for adoption. My friend is now 48 years old, and right before her mom passed away last year, she told her daughter the truth. My friend is killing herself trying to find her son, and I just hope that this son, does not think that his mother did not want him.

I would be curious, and especially to find out at my age that I was adopted.

My daughter sought out her birth mother had a nice afternoon with her but the thrill wore off and they barely talk anymore...curiosity killed the cat do what your heart tells you to do.

i would look... from a distance at first, and maybe introduce myself if i gained the courage... my grandma did that just recently... but, it was a little too late, her biological mom passed one year earlier but she got to meet her half sisters and brothers and still keeps in touch...

I don't think I would look for them. I would always wonder who and where they are, but I don't think I would find them. What if they did'nt want me and don't even remember me or are dead? I think that would be more difficult then just wondering who they are.
