my son is in 6th grade and he doesn't get the math ......
is there like a program i can download so like if he puts an problem can they give him hints

how about Yahoo answers? He can ask the question here and they give him answers. (Or hints if you don't want them to give him the answers). And it's FREE!

Sorry there are no programs that will give hints without doing the problem that are free. There are however lots of free study resources on the net that may have similar examples. Look up teachers guides, 5th grades , mathmatics.
