For red you always want to down play the eyes so your lips stand out but since it's a Christmas party and I'm assuming it's at night- you need to use some festive golds or silvers.
There are some holiday looks that I've linked that you might want to look at to coordinate your makeup-- you can also try the virtual makeover.

If you are going to be wearing red and black I would use a black eyeliner. Then put a light pink eye shadow on your eye lid. Next use a black eyeshadow to lightly highlight the outside portion of you eyelid, (the part closes to your ears). On the inside porion of your eyelid use a med gray on the bottom part and blend it into a lighter gray going up. Use the light pink on the very top part of your lid blending it down to meet the black and gray. I think this would be brilliant with your colors. Let me know if you don't understand what I mean and I will email you a demonstration picture showingthe areas to use the colors. Good luck at the party and Merry Christmas.

Since you're going with red bold lips (and you are in a red and black outfit) PLS keep it neutral and understated for the eyes. Look somewhat French with a neutral (think taupe or bone colored eyeshadow) eye but lots of lovely lash building mascara. Topped off with yr sizzling red lips...you'll look hot.Xmassy and very modern at the same time. You dont want your eyes to be too 'made up' if not it will clash/compete with yr red lips and might be too "much" and look tacky or tarty.

Well, you could do... 1. A smokey grey shadow.. 2. A black shadow... 3.You could do a sparkly shadow, like silver or white sparkles. If you chose to wear eye shadow, eyeliner, AND the lip stick, then I would wear very little of the shadow, and very little of the liner. This makes sure you don't put too much make up on. You could also just not wear any eyeshadow.

since red lipstick is so bright and bold, you want to keep your eyemakeup subtle and natural. Try a gold shimmer that blends with your skin or a taupe color. Avoid using bold colors on your eyes because your makeup will appear overdone. Good Luck!

I wouldn't really base what eyeshadow color with your lipstick color. It is said that if you have blue eyes, then you should use brown. And if you have brown eyes, you should use the silvers, purples, and the like. Hope you have a nice time at your party! Merry Christmas!

stick with the browns for your eyeshadow. Go with a really natural look on your eyes so that your whole face isn't popping out with color. Have fun.

Keep your eyes simple but dramatic. I'd go with a little bit of shimmery white (or pale silver) shadow, black eyeliner winged out a bit (top only), and mascara.
