Right click on My Computer and go to Properties. Go to the Hardware tab and click the Device Manager button. You can see it there, expand the "Sound, Video & Game Controllers" section.

Assuming your using windows xp then device manager will tell you - start/settings/control panel/system/hardware/device manager then look under sound and video controllers

A good place to find this info is the directx diagnostic tool. go to the run command and type dxdiag.
