I never read/heard that either of them hated cats. Hitler I have read in numeorus books was fond of animals in general. However, he was definetly a dog-lover.

Maybe, because if you think about it Egyptians loved cats and they tried to improve civilization, while these people tried to take over the world and make it bad for us and they hate cats.

All they perhaps did not understand really animals and the value of the pets for them was only in usefulness, they did not know much about fellings like compassion, friendship etc.
Tyrants are famous, but not loved.

I suppose there are many reasons to like or not like cats, but I can see why a tyrant wouldn't like them. Obedience isn't their strongest trait.
