My husband and I are going to a Chrismas party and we are going to change gift there. 2 of his good friends have big families and we can't really afford to buy eveyone $50 gifts. Would it be alright to get a family present. If so, what should I give. Both families have younger kids.

Kelli,
I suggest that you buy (or even make) one of those huge baskets filled with chocolates, cheese, meat, coffee, tea, etc. This a way to give to the whole family. Also consider a fruit basket or a real tree (which will be used to decorate the inside of their home). Good luck!

Get the couple something they can share and then get the kids something they could share. Doesn't have to be anything expensive.
We got a couple I am friends with a little kit with two coffee cups and different kinds of hot chocolate, another one got two oatmeal bowls and different flavored oatmeal.
Get the kids a board game they can share, if the kids are boys get them guns with foam bullets that they can shoot at each other for like 5 dollars a piece at walmart.
Family gift ideas are those big containers of popcorn, or a board game for all to play.

Get the adult female's bath basket at walmart for 5 or 6 dollars, get the kids a cheap toys or board games(no one expects really expensive gifts), and then get the men a nice shirt or something like that your husband should know what his friends like,

Trust the boy kids always love those cheap nerf guns, they are always a hit and inexpensive. And if you have kids that aren't as well behaved as their's, when their kids open these and begin to play, you'll see a whole new side of their kids, lol

Get the kids something small. Maybe a toy at a second hand store, (like Goodwill). Then just do the family gift thing.

I would just get the kids something. What's this $50.00 price tag? Unless you're actually that well off, get what you can afford. Merry Christmas.

whatever gift you give comes from your heart and if anyone had something to say about it they would be very selfish and shallow..Give them a board game. nothing better than family game time to bring and keep families together.
