Tom never really beat Jerry although there were a few instances where they ended up teaming up against someone else and sat together smiling or laughing at the end of the cartoon.
Wile E. Coyote (Super Genius) did catch the Road Runner one time that I can remember. He had constructed a giant coyote robot that he controlled with a remote control device. After a couple of mishaps, he was being carried by the robot high in the air and the robot reached down and caught the Road Runner. When the coyote dialed into the remote control to eat the Road Runner, the robot shoveled the coyote into its mouth instead. DOH...almost had him.

Tom has only gotten the best of Jerry only a few times, and when it comes to Wile E. Coyote, he NEVER EVER caught the Roadrunner. I knew that when I was 5 years old because he never caught him then and he will never catch him now. I'm suprise that he didn't starve to death or something. Come on think about it, what did Wile E. eat when he never catches the roadrunner?

Then there will be no relaxing of staring at the plotting by using Wiley. Nor would he make certain in bandages or have a flattened head or a pushed in nostril, or walking with a crutch from getting harm or maimed. we may omit out on each of the humorous mishaps for constructive, if he ever gave up the chase, from both catching the Roadrunner, or no longer searching him in a roundabout way. No, i do not imagine that Wiley will ever seize the Roadrunner. As Wiley has shown, he's not any longer the best coyote round.

Wile E. Coyote did catch the road runner, and was shock when he did, but he let him go..(true cartoon/story).
And Tom has never beaten Jerry, but usually when the show ends where Jerry is fooled or dooped into something Tom is right along with him. The only "person" to ever beat Jerry would probably be his nephew/cousin the little gray mouse.

They did have a couple of episodes where Tom gets the better of Jerry, but not very many.
I guess it's just funnier that Jerry wins.
I don't think the Coyote has ever gotten RR. Because then he would have eaten the bird.
No big loss if you ask me.
