My blood pressure was high and I started walking about 10 blocks each evening and cut out caffeine and soda pop and it went down. It went down so much that my doctor asked me if I was on some kind of medication that I had gotten from someone other than him. When I told him what I was doing, he said "Yeah, those things really help with blood pressure". Which makes me wonder why he didn't tell me to do that in the first place.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Cut down on your salt intake, try not to eat fast food (Too much sodium and fat content), walking is the best exercise of all (get your heart rate up), start taking vit-e (1000mg twice a day), omega-3 fatty acids (1200mg twice to three times a day with meals), garlic ( 500mg a day or more), vit-c (1000mg a day), multivitamen with iron (one a day), and vit-b complex with b-12. These are very good for you and you will be surprised at how you will feel after taking them for a month or so. The best deal I have found is "Puritan's Pride.com". You can buy 2 bottles and sometimes get as many as 4 bottles free. Good luck.

Cut out salt and get exercise. Even if it's just walking a couple of miles 4 or 5 times a week. Find some way to relieve any stress in your life (hobby, etc.). Take a baby aspinin every day.

Mix a small amount of apple cider vinegar with warm water and drink it or a teaspoon of regular vinegar will lower your blood pressure. I've used this remedy many times and it works within minutes.

actually i have hypertension too and onece i started to get these really bad headaches but then i realized i was taking my dads dose which is like 4 times stronger and i stopped and after a while the headache stopped. but to lower it down quickly? im not sure thats entirely possible, maybe exercising and not much caffeine or salty foods. but i think you should ask your doctor, maybe you need a higher dosage.

Add garlic supplements to your diet. They won't lower it much but you don't say how high yours is. If it's in the upper range 160/90 or higher, you'll probably need meds.
