i hve a shifting problem with my car i've changed the transmission filter was fine for a day know it's doing it again why won't my car shift right

i have same car, adjust kick down cable , it regulates how and when transmission shifts. if fluid looked or smelt burnt when u changed filter then the transmission probably is too, if thats the case get rid of it unless u have a thousand bucks to spare

I know what your problem is: you're driving a Pontiac! I had an 85 Grand Am. That car was nothing but problems. Do your pocketbook a favor and get another car (not a GM).

car is over 20 years old. what do you expect....go to tranny person. could be modulator 40 $ or much worse.
