Please help. I have some icicle lights to put up outside on my window. I bought some suction cups and they didn't work so have ended up having to use insulation tape to attach the lights to the upvc. How else can I do it? Obviously can't nail or screw into the upvc. Help!

Put them on the inside instead, they wont rattle in the wind on the inside and still look nice. Or if your window opens get a brush shaft or other type of pole and tie some thin but strong string to it. You can then thread it through the open window and close the window on the string. Attach your lights to this and Hey Presto job done. Just remember not to open the window or Bye Bye lights.

You maybe able to attach these hooks to the siding so that they hang down over the window. You could use just a few hooks to support a cross piece of rod (plastic, metal, wood etc.) that the lights will hang off. Using the plastic light hooks on the rod will reduce the cost of this item.

if u want to hang the lights outside buy some clips that are made for christmas lights if no where to clip on to stape them up these are easy to remove just by pulling hard and does not hurt the lights. The clips are easy to attach to evesthough or other surrfaces Merry christmas

Command hooks has wire holders they are about 1 inch long and have a solid piece on top that curves to hold the wire with a small slit on the side to slip the wire through. They hold up amazingly well.

Why? what on earth compells you to want to prove to the rest of the world what kitsch taste you have. Put them up inside your home, where only you have to suffer them if you must, but please dont subject the rest of the world to such cheap tack.
