whichever you think suits you better i have mine on my left my husband also has his on the left but mys sister has hers on her right

There is no meaning behind one side or the other in America. Some cultures used the piercing to show if a woman was married or had a certain quality. Its usually just you wanted one side done over the other. Some people go by which hand they use to write with is the side they pierce, other people will pick a side to balance an existing piercing or mark. As far as which side is more popular, I'm not sure because I see a good amount of both and I myself have both nostrils pierced.

It's personal preference. There is no "hidden meaning" in the side you pierce...a lot of people will get it done on the right but I had both done. As for the guy who mentioned infections? Yeah, you can get them if you don't care of the healing piercing but there is no higher risk then with any other body mod. You'll be find. Just look in the mirror and decide which side you want. Or you can tell your piercer to surprise you, if you really have no preference.

i've had mine pierced before and its really just your preference. mine happened to be on the left, but as far as i know, one side doesn't mean one thing compared to the other. for me, the left side felt "right." go with whatever you want, its your nose! good luck, it does kind of hurt. mine fell out the first time and i got it re-done so i had to go through the pain twice. i don't have one anymore, but i think they can look very nice on lots of different people.

It can go on any side. I have seen many people with nose piercings on different sides.

It doesn't matter. Its all about preference. I got mine on the left because I wanted it to balance out with my Monroe piercing, which was on the right.

I think that it would be the left. But my advice is to go to where you will be piercing your nose and ask them, also ask what is the most popular side that they pierce.

Whatever side you sleep on less so it could heal faster. Mine's on the right and that's how I decided.
