i am currently enrolled in college and plan to graduate Dec 2007, i am a single mom and don't have really any spare funds however i would like to open my own business i have an idea in mind and am looking at some property but i need investors ( i cant get loans because of my credit) anyone have any idea where i can locate some investors to share my business plan with.

You could go to www.craigslist.org and post a free ad(s) in their "wanted" section and see if you can stir up investors that way. You could maybe search online for grants--I understand there are places out there that offer business grants strictly to women. You could check the local Small Business Women's Association and they might have that list of grantor's (or know how you can get around that credit issue to get a loan! This would be better because investor's will want your business run their way, and it won't be your business.....) Another thing is to tell all your family and friends, former co-workers, any person you can think of, maybe will invest in you. Some banks will take that into consideration--"if your family and friends won't invest in you, why should we?" And the more money you invest yourself, the better the banks like it. Less risk. Try advertising your plan in a local newspaper!
