God, was that that Stallone movie....The Contender?
I know it was also in Dark Angel.
Maybe also Alien v. Predator?
It's killing me, bc I know I've heard it and can't think of the movie.

That's a very old saying. May have been quoted in a film. I'll check.
Edit: This seems to be an Arabian proverb, and it has been quoted in many films, as well as the TV series "The Contender". It has also been paraphrased a lot, to "The enemy of my enemy is ALSO my enemy".

It must be a common saying from something other than a movie since it seems to be used a lot. If you're just trying to think a specific time you heard it, here are some movies and tv shows that quoted it:
Dick Tracy
Blade II
AVP: Alien Vs. Preditor
tv shows:
Dark Angel
Blade: The Series
Hope that helps, sorry I don't know where it originated from. Possibly the book The Art of War by Sun Tzu. (Never read it so don't know for sure). Seems almost like an ancient proverb or something.

Probably a quote from many movies. but i remember hearing it in the tv show Stargate SG-1, when the team entered a cave where they found a crystal skeleton that turned one of them invisible. the line "Enemy of my enemy is my friend" was sort of a riddle. the answer was supposed to be: "we are enemies of the Goa'uld", which is the evil race in the first 8-9 seasons. that's if you wanted details

THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND,’ so goes an old Arab proverb. Used in quite a few Holliwood films since Oliver North re-used it to try and support his use of funds to support the Contra's at his sennant hearing.

That's not a quote. It's an old saying that's been quoted and re-quoted hundreds of times in movies, books and TV shows. I remember reading it recently in one of Robert Ludlum's novels (can't remember which one though).
