Florida's defense will give Smith a good test. If Meyer can mix it up with Tebow and give him the option to pass then Florida has a chance. I am an avid SEC fan but I never bought into Leaks being an outstanding quarterback. Now Tebow is the real deal and before he leaves Florida he will bring them a national championship.
The spread on the game has Ohio State as an 8 point favorite. I think Florida will beat the spread but come up 3 or 4 points shy of winning unless Meyer comes up with one hell of a game plan and the Gator defense contains Smith. A lot of 'ifs' there.

Just like the heisman went to Troy Smith so will the national championship and probably the first round draft pick.
Florida has nothing but speed and a few trick plays. They're offense is okay, defense is better, but not great. Special teams are questionable at times. Teebo has no arm and Leak is vunerable on the run. Granted they are fast, but fast doesn't win bowl games! Talent does, and Ohio has it all right now.
Basically Ohio is a lead pipe lock. Florida already has a loss, so they have tasted it and it's not so bad. Ohio hasn't. 19 game winning streak. Beat Michigan. Beat Texas. Ran the gauntlet at home, and whipped butt on the road. Their QB is the real deal, so is their running back, so are their wide outs. And the defense is looking like they were last year - TOUGH! Ohio wins - it may be closer than everyone thinks - maybe 24-21 when it's all said and done, but Ohio wins this one.

well lets look at the facts
-Florida has definently got the best defense in the nation
-Ohio state has proved themselves by undefeated record
-but florida of course has had tougher season
-Ohio State has better offense
-Florida has got a lot of spirit
-But then again so does Ohio State
Florida finds ways to win games, whether by much or by little, but then again so does Ohio State
Whatever happens, the game will be close, I go for Florida of course though! Go Gators

I think Ohio State will win. Florida's offense is not very good, and Ohio States defense will make it even harder for Florida to move the ball. I stand by the fact that if you give Jim Tressel 5 weeks to prepare for a football game, he's pretty much going to know everything about that team, and will figure out how to beat them.
Just look at his record against Michigan 5 - 1, and Michigan has been better than every Florida team in the last 6 years.

Whether you buckeye faithful like it or not, the Florida Gators will be victorious. The Gator defense is the best overall defense that the bucks have played against this season, and Reggie Nelson is the best cover saftey that Smith has ever had to play against. Big 10 defense's are big and slow, it's easy to bombard a defense that doesn't have the speed to cover Ginn. But when you have someone like Nelson who can easily keep up with Ginn deep, that eliminates the bucks greatest passing threat. Granted the OSU online is big and strong, the gator d-line is faster and will be able to move around the ohio front. Florida will struggle offensively, this is true, but i don't believe that Smith has ever seen a defense that runs the type of stunts that the the Gator d does. That said, if the Gators can get up early, which they should, they game is theres.

Ohio State will take this game, many don't think it will be a blow out. I do think it will be a blow out. Ohio State's defense is the best in the nation right now and can score touchdowns. Ohio States offense with Troy leading it is explosive to say the least, and with Tressel's call playing, Ohio State will be unstoppable.

It will come down to who gets the other team to play their type of game. Florida wants low scoring defensive game, and Ohio St. wants a high scoring game. UF's defensive will be tough, but OSU is balanced enough and SEC doesn't have any teams that run the spread offensive as efficient as OSU. OSU wins 33-27!
