Not all of us men think this way. However it still seems persist with men in general that it's "a man's world". This i feel is not only wrong now, but has always been wrong.

If you are in such a relationship then you will just have to take a stand with him and make him understand that you are your own person and that as such, you are not a slave.

You can't have a democracy of two. Someone has to have the final say. Without being sexist, most men are less emotional than most women. (Most can be a big word there.) So in most (still a big word) relationships, it's probably a good idea for the man to be that "final call guy."
Now the trick is, once you've accepted that, any time you're dating a guy and looking towards a more permanant arangement, you have to ask yourself, "Could I let him be the final call in all decisions?" If the answer is no... leave! You can try telling him that you think you need to be the final call, but if he doesn't immediately go for it, leave! You won't ever really change his mind on the matter.

Loaded question here. Men are better analyst when it comes to matters of the heart. Especially with anyone they care for. I did not say smarter. Better analyst. We as women tend to want to read into things where is a man can see right to the situation at hand. The man will play the father figure if he feels it is best for you. And I will say I look for that in a friend and or a love. Is honesty and respect that is mutual. To add men only want to be acknowledged iwith their feelings as we do. Not necessarily to obey. Just to think situations through before acting recklessly. Not all men give women that consideration. Most mature men of substance do.

Not all men do sweetie, there has to be a little give and take here. However, if you study the Bible, you can see where this idea could be implied. However it is about submission, and not necessarily blind obedience.

You must be meeting some real winners there. Out of all the guys I know, friends, work, suppliers, I only know of two who actually believe this. One is not an American and one has been raised in a Muslim family.

I am a man and I don't expect my wife to obey me...we're a team and we make all of our decisions as a team.I don't like being put into that category.

Because in the old world time..that's what we had to do. You will never shake the idea. Men are the rulers of the world right now...and until that changes they will continue to be cocky.

Because it is in the Bible. They are the heads of our households and we (women) are in subjection to them just as they are to Christ and He is to God. Read it, learn it, live it.
