Sure, you should look for a new job if you don't like the one you're in now. The average American will change their career 5 times in their life.
BUT unless you can support yourself without your income for a while it's probably wise to have another job lined up before you quit the current one. If you're part of a dual income household that may be a realistic option; but if you're like me and the only paycheck going to maintain your household is your own it's pretty risky to just quit. You may have to "settle" for a job that will pay the bills instead of a job you enjoy if you take that route.
I found that just looking for a new job made the current one more bearable. (I still left, but I didn't lose my mind in the two months or so it took to find, interview for and accept a new job.)

I am sad to hear that you are frustrated with your job. It is an unenviable position to be in. After reading all your questions, my advice to you is start looking for a job now, i.e. go for job interviews now. Inform them frankly that you could join them only sometime in Jan. You may be surprised that some may accommodate you. You would not feel lousy or insecure when you quit with the confirmation of a job offer in hand then.

anyone that tells you to just quit is an idiot. We all have bills. People that tell you to just quit dont think about that or are kids on here that just like answering to get points. Find another job while there, for two reasons. First you will still have income coming in and two you will still get a good recommendation because they dont suspect anything. If you just quit and leave you will get just dates handed to anyone that interviews you. Anyone that tells you that an employer cant give out more info than that doesnt know the truth. I know for a fact that they give out alot of info that doesnt help the applicant that has left.
Best of luck try to stick it out and find somewhere that is suitable for you.

I wouldn't. I was frustrated on my job for about 2 years. Trust if i had quit all the times i wanted to i would be in a sticky situation right now. Just hold on and pray about it something better will come along and then you can quit the old for the new. The job market sucks right about now!

If you can afford to quit, sure! If you can't then find a part time job to pay your bills in the mean time. Either way dont stay there.

Of course you should, the way you wrote the question assumes you would. Take time to work out what your strengths are and focus on where you can build your strengths in a team that would support it and allow you to demonstrate your ability. Good luck

Keep it till you find something else. Better to have a job you hate than no job at all.
