Aeropostale's clothes run a little smaller than American Eagle, so you will probably need a size 12. Your best bet would be to go into the store to try them on, though, because all their styles run a little different.

I'm a 10 in AE and a 9/10 in Aeropostale. All pants are different though.

The industry will tell you that they are the same because they are supposed to be "STANDARDIZED". But, it is very likely that you will need to increase one size in Aeropostle. Have a great holiday!
