I have to go with my Redskins.
Last year they had winning record, made it to the playoffs and were on the right track, so I thought.
So they bring in Al Saunders from the Chiefs to run the offense. Gibbs gave up his play calling. Was supposed to be high-powered, pass-oriented, high scoring offense. Bring in Brandon Lloyd from the 49ers. What happened????
Every other pass it seems like is a screen pass for 4 yards. That is not high-powered!!
Had non-mobile QB in Mark Brunell, who thankfully got benched in favor of Jason Campbell, but he is young, inexperienced QB. Clinton Portis got injured in pre-season and was never the same.
Biggest disappointment is the Defense!! Gregg Williams always had top 5 defense, now they near the bottom in the league. I lost count of how many mistackles and stupid penalties they have. And secondary is pathetic!

I don't think that the Giants were that much of a disappointment to anyone but their fans (and I am one). They had so many injuries defensively, it was almost out of their hands.
I think overall in the league, the Steelers have been the most disappointing. I think people were expecting Rothleisburger (definately spelled that one wrong) to come back and be a fantastic QB all over again. Personally, I think they started him back too soon but that's just me. There are teams that you kind of expect to do bad, and then there's teams that surprise you and I think the Steelers are that team for this season.
I think in a way too, that the Bucs are pretty disappointing as well. Former Superbowl champions of not far ago have lost their QB and are at a 3-10 record. Last year they almost made the playoffs (I can't remember if they did or not, I think they may have). But not nearly as much as the Steelers.

As a Steelers fan, they're by far the biggest disappointment. Unfortunately there were many factors that contributed, particularly everything bad that happened to Big Ben this year from the motorcycle accident, then the appendectomy, then when he finally started hitting his stride against the Falcons, he gets knocked out with a concussion! After that it's just been down hill for the most part. The defense has played relatively well, but the offense has been terrible for the most part, which has hurt the defense in terms of momentum. Combine that with tons of turnovers, stupid penalties and not getting any lucky breaks all combined to hurt the Steelers this year. Believe me, I'm crying inside.

I would have to say the Steelers. Even though I'm not disappointed .... but to be the SuperBowl champs one year and then come back and do as poorly as they are doing this year... wow -- I would be very disappointed if I liked them.
The Giants - They came out so strong at the beginning of the season and then started downhill. I'm glad they look like they may be back for the rest of the season to kick some a*s!! That Carolina game was so awesome. They did exactly what I said they needed to do to win the rest of their games -- STOP w/ all those stupid penalties!! They had little penalties and WOW -- won the game - what a concept! = ) I think I should apply for that coaching job! lol Are you aloud to sleep w/ the TE if you're a coach?? lol J/K
Hope you're having a good day! = ) btw -- thumbs ^^^ from me!
~~~~~~~~~~GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~
Considering the injuries and the calls, where the refs were CLEARLY trying to get them, why are the Steelers that disappointing? If you have alot of injuries especially with the QB position, you are going to have problems. The Giants are a big disappointment. The Panthers are probably one of the worst. The Dolphins were pretenders, come on basing it on Culpepper, who is way overrated, and hasn't been seen since halfway through the last year. So yeah the Panthers or Giants.
Tough question. I'd agree that the Giants are a disappointment with all the hype, but to tell you the truth. I didn't feel they were championship quality. Not yet. Too many questions, including the QB. So I can't say the Giants. I would think Pittsburgh but I didn't think they were that great last year so the drop off didn't surprise me. Probably I'd say Carolina. Every year they're suppose to be the cream of the crop in the NFC. But they're always wildly inconsistent and falter. So I'd go with them. I thought the Bengals would be more dominant this year but they're starting to turn it on.
The Pittsburgh Steelers. They returned 19 of 22 starters from a Super Bowl winning team and are under .500
I agree with you man. I am a Giants fan and I was really let down when Eli just fell into that slump and then all the D started to go one at a time. Well, at least we can say that we made it to a Super Bowl in the last 10 yrs. There is always next year!!!
This may be a stretch but the Colts are the most disappointing. They can't stop anyone on the run and how many more years will the Colts remain to stay this good. Manning at this rate will end up just like Marino and never win a SuperBowl. Which then Tom Brady who it's half as talented but will always be considered better because he won the "big one." Nothing against Tom Brady he's a good QB, just not as good as Manning.
