I guess because I learned at a young age to stand up for myself and have a sense of humor. I was always the smallest and a little heavy so I was the "butt" of many jokes. My cheekiness just grew as I did. On a good day, I can stop someone in their tracks with a witty re"butt"al.

I believe it is an accumalation of lipids and fatty acids (also know as fat) above your cheek muscles. Most women would actually love fat cheeks and undergo numerous lipid injections in the cheeks to get this more "feminin" look.
