Reading some of your answers, I felt that I made this theory..
I just came around this site and I was amazed to see Nigeria listed as the happiest country...I just want to know why.

If that is so why are there still so many killings and violent crimes? Why America, the UK and other countries have issued travel advisories warning of the dangers of travelling to Nigeria in recent years?
Why is infant mortality still so high, disease far more prevalent than elsewhere?
With so much poverty still present did the poor get consulted or only the upper classes?
Such claims are simply ludicrous!! Worse they suggest that Nigeria is OK and does not need help and it still needs outside help big style!!!

May be for the 0.1% population that feasts on 99% of the country's weath, I suppose.
The country itself is rich with resources and numerous geopraghic, industrial and commercial advantages. It's just too bad that most of it are not being put to good use.

I don't know but, with Mexico listed second, I am now doubting the validity of the whole site. Why is Mexico so fre@kin happy? Because half of their country is over here in the US sending money to their country. If their citizens are sooooo happy, they should be thrilled to stay in their own country and yet...

i think that is right Nigeria is the happiest country. may be because they live simple life, do their job by themself, they depend on themself in food and water, and they didnt worry a bout a new car a new mobil new p c. so Nigerians are happy

i live in Nigeria, and i think its the happiest country in the world because we have culture and we respect each other and our beliefs, although we don't turn our backs and we speak our minds-freely...
