Perhaps your element has burnt out. You'll have to consult a professional on that one.

what do you have the heat set on? the pilot light is on so when is the last time the burners have been cleaned? they can be carboned up. or your heat sending switch can be bad, if it is a newer furnace the safety features may be switching it off when it calls for gas. some furnaces do not put out heat if the filter is wrong or hasn't been changed. sometimes all it takes is the front panel to be slipped and safety features will not let gas into the burners. check all of these and if you still have no heat then it is time to call a repair person.
