I have a chance to buy a 10 year old, but never used, still in the original box, cordless drill. Will it still take & hold a charge?

cordless drills are really garbage! even brand new the batteries do not hold a charge for any type of real job. They may be good for hanging a picture but they do not have the power to sink drywall screws. if you are planning a major job invest in an electric drill.

Most cordless tools have memory cells, if your sure its never been charged before it should hold a charge. remember if you charge it for 14 hrs you use it for 14 hr's (not continuously) then charge it for 14.hr's

Probably not. anyway,10 years ago the technology was not quiet what it is today. Buy you a new 18 volt or better drill.

The battery WILL NOT give a peep
you will have to be CAREFULL I F you are
thinkin of charging it. I WOULDNT !

Dont mess around , see if u can get a new battery

it should,but its not brand new if its 10 years old
