Nemanja Vidic has surely been one of ALex Fergusson's best buys in the past few seasons, and this season, he is truly showing his best. For the first time in the last few seasons, we have a proper no-nonesnse defender when it comes to aerial balls. His ability in the air is just amazing, and he's very adept at converting corners as well, which is an added bonus. His attitude speaks volumes about his character-totally no-nonesense, very committed. His partnership with Rio is being rated as highly as Bruce-Pallister by some, which I think is the ultimate compliment for a Man United centre back.

Vidic took some time to settle at Man United and did not look comfortable - but this year he started well and has looked VERY strong alongside Rio Ferdinand. They are both strong and powerful, and can use the ball well in their own half. Nemanja has also scored three times already this season, at some important times!
