Well thinking about it will tell wether high, or low will be beter. If you have a 6: A,2,3,4,5 will be lower, or 5 out of the 13 possibilites will be low. 7,8,9,10,J,Q,K will be high, or 7 out of the 13 possibilites. Now, you also have to remember what cards have been discarded, so first, multiply the odds by suits, so low has a 20 out of 52, and high has a 28 out of 52.
say two 7's an A, 9 10 and three queens have been discarded,
1 of thoes 8 are in low, the other seven are in high
so low has a 19 out of 44 chance, while high has a 21 out of 44 chance, high would be better, but not by much.
