He would have to eat massive truck loads of crow and fire a lot of people who are popular with the talk radio crowd. Then he would have to replace these people with moderates and approach things in a whole new respectful way and that will mean some of his ideological positions will have to be sacrificed on the altar of governance. Anything less than that is a waste of time and energy. Which would sum up this entire administrations existence.

He just has to do what is right and not worry about silly polls Harry Truman had 30% poll during Korean War now he is look at as one of our best presidents. On a personal note I used to dislike my father as a teenager because I thought he was full of it. When I became an adult I realize he was doing the things that he thought was right for me, and I worship him now. So to all those people out there only history will show if our president did a good job or not.

He could resign, but that would leave us with Dead Eye Dick Cheney and that wouldn't be a good decision either. I see nothing that he can do to unraval all the evel that he has done in his six years so far.

Salvage??? My God, hasn't he done enough for you. Look at the history of great presidents. Most were "unpopular" at the time.
He, nor most people give a rats tail holder about biased polls.

No. Haven't you noticed that the 2008 Presidential race has already begun? Bush's time has run out and America is shopping for a replacement.
