I have McAfee installed with the purchase of my computer paid for 15 months, now after only 6 months McAfee is asking me to reinstall thier Security Service, when I try to do it it stalls half-way throught & I can't finish reinstalling unless I pay again. I called McAfee support & nothing seems to be able to fix. So I tried to uninstall McAfee so I could use another service but no way McAfee will not budge. keepe poping up every time I try to use my computer, seems like the McAfee people don't know how to solve this problem either, its very annoying yet I can't get rid of McAfee. Has anyone ever had such a problem?

boot into safe mode and try uninstalling it

I had a similar problem on my old (now dead from exploded motherboard) laptop computer i finally had to run a military grade file erase utility then run a free space washer prgram from http://www.cyberscrub.com for the erase utility and the free space washer was from http://www.webroot.com cyberscub has a 15 day free trial of thier produst and webroot windows washer comes with a 30 day free trial also you will need to after running those on the mcafee folder run the

From there you can down load and install the Microsoft Installer Clean Up Utility, just follow the steps on the web site.
look for and destroy all the traces left over from the mcafee programs.
