between 20 and 30,
lives local and so on, how do they know its a man none of these poor girls were sexually assulted. makes me think they are looking for the complete opposite to who is doing this seen as it seems to be happening right in front of them

Hi Moonkitten! I work as a Criminal Psychologist and in answer to your question it is actually quite easier to pin point the minor details of a criminals profile. For instance a serial killer is more likely to be male than female! Can you name the last female serial killer in Britain? Myra Hindley, I hear you all say. Wrong, Myra Hindley never killed anyone. The last female serial killer in Britain was Beverly Allitt. A female is more likely to kill once from grievance, anger or such. Think about all the serial killers you've heard of:
Peter Sutcliffe
Ted Bundy
Jack the Ripper
Ian Brady
The list goes on . . . . All male

Often when it is a male serial killer prowling the streets at night you can conclude that he is a single male. Due to having the ability to disappear at night and not have to answer to anyone. If the area in which the crimes are being commited and the bodies are being found is within the countryside and you have to take twists and turns to get to the sites you can conclude that the person has a vast knowledge of the area. As is the case now. Would you be able to travel 200 miles and know you're way around rarely used country roads and know where to find streams, wasteland and often areas which are not detailed on maps? This person did not just stumble upon an area to leave a body.

The common thought when a sex worker is murdered and not sexually assaulted is that the person(s) is either a virgin or impotent. Again implicating a male.

Hope this answers you're questions. The profiler working on the case is reputable and I'm sure the police are looking into every area of his profile so far.

Its amazing how they come to their conclusions. I was fortunate enough to be lectured during my Psychology degree by quite a prolific criminal pro-filer. It was so interesting! Its amazing the things they pick up, even the smallest details! A lot of the clues they use are obvious ones. As someone before me mentioned it doesn't take a genius to work out that its likely to be a male killer simply because there are very few females that could carry a dead body into the middle of nowhere! They would assume he lives locally as all the killings are occuring in the same area. He is bound to have a base locally and the know the area very well as he dumped the bodies in remote village locations that people who aren't local, might know know about. His sex age and ethnicity are determinde by his choice of victims. They would know if the victims were sexually assulted due to bruising etc in certain areas which these women obviously didn't have. I guess this is quite significant. The killer is probably someone who thinks he is doing a service to society by ridding the streets of prostitutes. He's obviosuly not sexually motivated, I thinkt he fact thye were naked apart fromt heir jewelry is quite significant too.

the stuff that's been made public will be controlled and limited and is based on averages, as serial killers 'usually' kill within their own racial group, and are 'usually' men, and are 'usually' between 20 and 35 or whatever. The people working on the case will have access to more specific information which they'll release on a controlled basis in case they say something which gives the killer a clue about their lines of enquiry etc, and to srtop time wasters. I'm sure they have all manner of hypotheses to work through. Could it have been a wife who found her husband was seeing these girls? Could it be two men? But first and foremost they need to play the averages game and look at what is most likely.

Try picking up an 80kg dead weight. Not being sexist, but I don't know a single woman that could do that, thats normally the biggest criteria.

Go through the history of serial killers, and with the odd exception (most notably, moira hindley) they are all men with troubled pasts.

It's the same for almost anything. As someone said above, if you're looking for a plane bomber, by the very nature of history, there's about a 97% probability that they will be middle eastern male (and before some religious nut starts rambling about islam or anything - can it. It's a geographical not racial or religious statement)

it truly is miraculous at the same time as i replaced into studying it I felt like an truly killing device who receives chuffed at the same time as killing someone, you've miraculous perception, did you study the concepts of one before you wrote it? In my perspective take out the question contained in the first line "Why do they call me so?" because contained in the 2d paragraph you clarify fairly why they'd call you that, its implied somewhat. also attempt to make it flow perhaps a touch rhythm the following and there and that i'm no longer preserving ALL poems might want to rhythm even with the undeniable fact that it particular makes the poem flow particularly of being so direct in case you get what i'm preserving. Over all is superb, purely wish you're not to any extent further somewhat a psychopath haha.

Profiling is normally very accurate. The law of averages alone suggest it's going to be a male between 20-30 (90% of the time it usually is). I suppose it might be 2 men though. That wouldn't surprise me. Also, I reckon that the police know a lot of stuff already that they're not mentioning just yet.

Let's just hope they catch this nutcase soon.

As they are Forensic Profilers whom have studied and analysed previous cases, serial killers etc and have a deep insight into teh human minds and the workings of it.

Its hard to comprehend that they can make these indications but they can by analysing the murder scene, the way the victims have been killed, where they have been dumped etc etc.

Its a fascinating profession and they are usually spot on!

the way they found the bodies can tell them alot
for instance
how close to the place they went missing
well it has to be a local person
also you need to concider the fight they may have put up and how heavy a dead body is to move

men are phisically stronger than women
and i healthy man who work in lets say farming or moving heave objects around alot
could do just this
also the age group
thats the age group of men when they are at their strongest point of their lifes

Your right, if all their ideas were right surely the police would have an idea where to look and who to look for. Maybe its a wife who found out what her hubby had been out doing when he said he was having a beer with the lads !

assaulted implies forced however if they were paid then they would not have been forced, or they could welll have been picked up then murdered nefore anything happened.

I would trust the psychological profilers on this one.
