I wouldn't worry unless you hit your head in the accident. If you did, you need to see a doctor to rule out concussion or worse.

Delayed confusion after an accident can be attributed to either neuronal shearing and/or stretching, or a bleed in the brain. The neurons will swell after an injury. If theres a bleed, confusion gets worse as the bleed gets bigger.
Go to the ER to get checked out, as there's no way to tell which is which without consulting a physician. Tell them about the accident and the delayed onset of the confusion; it will give them the starting point in the exam.

NO !!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to be seen immediatly. Did you hit your head or hurt your back? You might of injured yourself and not know. A visit to your primary care physician would be a good idea, but an Emergency Room visit will allow you to be seen asap. Tell them you are dizzy and confused. This could be an injury that might get worse if you delay.

yes, some car accidents traumas don't product symptoms for 3 days, 3 months or 3 years so get it checked out asap.
I would recommend a chiropractor to ensure that the alignment in your neck has not been traumatized otherwise you could suffer long term health problems.

Not normal, but may indeed be a consequence of the accident.
Brother-in-law was in a bad accident and sustained a concussion. After getting back home, for weeks you could ask him, "How're you doing?" He'd reply, "Don't worry about it." "How's your mom?" "Don't worry about it." "House is on fire!!!" "Don't worry about it."
He eventually came out of it but for a while he was loopy.
