The normal view is only showing a small part of the spreadsheet, i have to take the page zoom down to 30% to see all the table. When I print the spreadsheet of it is fine. When i have created the spreadsheet i must have done something that has the table on bigger zoom than what is showing, it like its under a magnifying glass. I want to view the table under the page zoom of 100% and view the table as normal. The only way I see the full table is 30% and the font is unreadable, please help..

You keep saying "Excel-like program". Is it Microsoft Excel you were using on Windows 98 or something else? If it's Microsoft Excel you were using then yes, newer versions of Excel will open your old files without any problems. If it's something other than Microsoft Excel you were using then it's 50/50 whether the newer versions of Excel will open them. If you can use your old spreadsheet program to save the files in CSV format (comma separated variables) then you should be able to open the CSV files in new Excel. But you'll lose all your formatting and graphs.

Look up in the panel of buttons running at top of screen. You will see a button that gives a percentage. Lower the percentage and it will make your view smaller. i.e. 100% - 75%

You need to re-size the picture.
On the top of the screen, you will see a selection of buttons. Click the re-size button.
