Did numbers exist before humans existed? If there were three trees in a prehistoric forest, who was there to say it was three? But it WAS three. So, where were numbers then?

Yes. I placed a tape recorder in the forest and left it there for a week....the playback was incredible--all the typical sounds of nature--and yes a tree fell as well.

A tree or anything falling anywhere would make a sound.

It makes sound waves. the actual "sound" of the tree falling is how our ears receive and interpret the waves. Who knows? For all we know it might sound different to an animal.

Yes. As it falls and hits the other trees and finally the ground it releases potential energy to kinetic energy in the form or sound!

Yeah it goes jasus what was I drinking last nite can't even stand up straight, it then turns around to the other trees and says just don't stand there laughing help me up

what if there is arecording device around! and then you play it back after the tree has fallen? there was noone around and yes the tree made a sound as it fell, you have proof! FACT!

No.Sound is nothing without an ear. And 'sound' is simply our brains interpretation of external stimuli. Even the tape recorder is simply an extension of our ear - a remote ear if you like.

actually even if there where no one to hear it the tree's sound (vibrations)will remain in the universe forever
