The only other things that I think would be totally necessary would be: 1. Wire cutters - in case your horse gets tangled in a fence 2. Tweezers - to remove splinters, or anything that may get lodged in your horse somehow 3. Iodine solution - as a disinfectant You might also want to have a few human first aid things in there too - just like band aids, antiseptic, gauze and maybe some "Stingoes" or something similar (Stingoes is a spray that you can apply to insect bites to stop the stinging/itching) Also I would recommend having your vet's phone number with your first aid kit as well - just in case, and that way you always know where it is.

4X4 gauze, gauze roll, cloth tape, insect sting caps, band aids, alcohol, saline, scissors, tweezers, anti-biotic cream, kotex(they absorb alot of blood from large wounds and they are sterile, not a joke) kerlix wraps, ace bandages, chemical ice packs.

band-aids, medical wrapping tape, burn cream, asprin, alcohol pads, usually a small wrap for a spranged ankle or wrist, and thats all i can think of right now, lol. but thats most of whats in there
