When she has the book ready to print, she will turn it in to her publishers. they will proofread and do a final edit, which Rowling will have to approve and sign off on. Then the book has to be attached to a production schedule. It might take 3 months or more to print and bind all the copies that they will sell in a matter or hours, so they need plenty of manufacturing time...

There has been speculation that the launch date for he book will be July 7, 2007 (07/07/2007) which would play on the "magical" number 7.

If she isn't done writing, though, then this deadline could pass with no book in readers' hands...
