If you get any good answers please let me know. My girlfriends ex just won't leave her alone. Always text messageing " I love you" "Come back home to me" I'm really tired of it and so is my girlfriend but she doesn't wanna get Jerry in any serious trouble.

If there's kids involved, she's not going to be out of your lives any time soon, so get used to her being there. If the two of you have such a great relationship, like you say you do, you would not be bothered by anything she does or says - she would not in any way be able to get you to break up. She's unhappy and jealous and wants the two of you to be as well. You've dealt with it for 4 years already - are you really ready to see her win? Be the bigger people here and just let what she says roll off your backs - don't pay her any attention.

Yeah she sounds like a whacko. You would have to move because she's not going to get the point of a restraining order.

As much as I dislike the idea of anyone dictating what I do in life, my first concern would be the safety of my family.

I would say..Sugar...is right...leave town...But before you do, let the whole town know why you had to uproot your family and leave..If her father does have power in that place, he wont have it for much longer..don't let anyone know when and where you are going, make sure employment and housing is secured in the new area before leaving...(less unsettling for the children and easier on all of you to restart your lives afresh)....good luck to you, but do go, she will never stop till you do...oh! and Merry Xmas from Oz...

yeah, you guys are gonna have to move... court orders dont work, been there done that. those types are psycho and will stop at nothing. distance may help, but is not a guarantee. but you gotta try something and you end up getting that desparate.

when they get a a new love interest they lay off sometimes... sometimes.

If her father's "the man" around there, try finding some nasty things about her or her dad (with proofs, of course), and then publish them all around the local newspapers. Everyone has some well hidden dark secrets, take it from me.

One word; Move.

Assess your options elsewhere, get yourself settled, and move. Truly, move.
