Y multiplied by 5.

So its x^2 - y^2 +1 = xy - 5y

I am looking for the x and y.

Does the ^ mean squared or did you forget your exponent?

So x^2-y^2 +1 = (xy-y)5

Is the 5 an exponent or is it multiplied?

Are you solving for x or for y or are you graphing it or what?

You need to distribute, x^2-y^2 +1 = 5xy - 5y. There is most likely more than one solution.
