I have been a LPN for 16 years......if you are asking if it is difficult to decide if you shoul try it......then you motives are all wrong....you should want to be a nurse for the right reasons....you love working with people...the challenge of taking care of the sick and infirmed......not if it is easy or hard.

If you already have a bachelor's degree, you can find a program usually referred to as an "accelerated BSN", where you just take the nursing courses required for the degree. You may need a biology course, A&P, and chemistry if you haven't taken them in the last 5-7 years before you can begin the nursing courses. Once you start the nursing courses it is probably about 1.5-2 years to complete the program, and you end up with your BSN. Contact schools in your area to find out about their specific nursing programs and what one is right for you. Good luck!
