I am not an overly religious person, but I do believe all the Gods they talk about in different religions are really just the one God. So we should all just get on and stop the unnecessary bickering and fighting between religions, spreading the word of love not hatred. You are a good person and I agree with most of what you have said.. :)

I agree! One thing I have always hated was a Sunday hypocrite....those people who go to Church one day a week (or just on the holiday's) and pretend to be good Christians and yet the rest of the week they forget basic kindness, manners and so on. Treating others well and following your own conscience when choosing good from bad should be mandated, not the segregation on prejudice in religion. I like your thinking!!

i agree some what. going to church has to do with being a part of the family of God. being together in good times and bad. coming together to help the needy, less fortunate, and the ones who are in pain, both physical and mental. i agree that the segregation of religions has corrupted it somewhat, but every one is allowed their own beliefs under God. most of the religions are pretty much the same, with only a few minor differences.

I agree with your religion approach. I don't think you find God in church, but you will find him when you seek him. It's not a devil and an angel on your shoulder and only you to decide. It's the angel and the devil on your shoulder and you perhaps need to take a minute and ask God his opinion. He's there and he will make life easier when you just trust and believe.

What a catch you are indeed sir...
Nope to any contestation that there is a God or that he gave us anything...
to truly, philosophically believe that God exists means one must ignore so much of what is apparant in the world that a philosopher can not ever fully reconcile religous beliefs with their philosophy, hence why most philosophers are barking mad and most debates end up circular as their is no trutyh or proof when it comes to articles of faith....it makes no sense, is counter-intuitive...
....so how can he exist?
God putting the smile on kiddies faces? he also sends parents to abuse some of them and sell them drugs..what a nice God...
Agree - therefore no...but great question!!

Yes I agree to most points in that statement. I do not attend church but I have a relationship with God. The churches are all to diff. in their beliefs and to condescending and discriminatory for my taste. You do good and that is good enough for God. You chose your path in life whether it be right or wrong that is for the individual to decide not any given church.

What a good post-modern point of view.
God is what "I" think He should be. Never mind what He says He is.
Typical thinking by todays man. Put God is a box and show him off to the world

I think you meant to say you disagree with "organized religion" because everything that you describe as your perception of good, and happy is spirituality, which in itself is a "religious" ideology. But you have a great outlook on things.

I believe religions should help humans to reach God. But sometimes, they do not do their work due human corruption!
But God is not the guilty for that!
