can you give some tips on how to keep CDs clean and correct the damaged CDs?

Go to your local computer store and buy a CD cleaning kit. They are cheap. As for damaged CDs you can try several things including the CD Scan if your application has that. It never worked well, so many applications have dropped it. There are numerous ways you can try filing in scratches and many of them are listed in posts in this Forum
