As long as it is in your home, at room temperature, it should be fine. If it is in the garage or the temp drops dramatically, it could cause condensdation from the heat of the battery that could damage internal workings of the phone.
But the charger will stop charging when the battery is fully charged, if thats what you're asking.

It shouldn't unless it has a bad battery, does it get really hot when it is done charging? Such as when you wake up in the morning is it really hot? If so, you should get a new battery, and it should be fine. I have had cell phones in my house for 7 years, and that is how we always charged them, and they haven't blown up yet.

it will explode if you keep pulling the plug in and out several times. but it'll be ok to charge over night. when the battery is full, it should stop charging automatically. if it doesnt stop, get a new battery.

No, they don't explode. They're not supposed to do that and if they did they wouldn't be allowed to sell them. On the other hand, if it does explode you can always sue nokia...
