Would It be better to say I am a lesbian?

Sorry most of these answers are wasting your time.
It's never easy over-coming shyness, and being gay doesn't make things easier.
This is easier to say than do, but you will just have to try to be more confident in yourself. How old are you? Do you have close friends who are also gay? Getting introduced by mutual friends can sometimes overcome that initial barrier.
Are there any lesbian organisations or clubs where you live (l mean social type clubs, not just bars)?
Look in the mirror and see all the good things about yourself.
Good luck - there are lots of nice people out there who will respect and admire you.

try being less shy hehehehe......i know how you feel, i was so very shy, not anymore...im out there, in your face hehehehe. well you could try let yourself go a little bit, just gather some confidence and flirt with someone see if they flirt back, and then go for it, just go and talk to them....i know its easier said than done but there's no other way to do ....you got to talk to the person you want a date with :P
anyway i got over my 'shyness' hmmm when i stoped caring what people think of me that really helped....that and moving to a different country hehehe you could try moving to a new country hehehe it might work :)

You cant get a date being shy, try to hang around lesbian women, someone is bound to snatch you up!

give ur self confidence.
you can flirt with someone, perhaps by asking" what time is it now?
or are you the brother of george.
he says no
say: oh u look like him, as if u were george. what is ur name!
and so on...
or go to mirc, gay channel, and speak with somebody in ur region and take a date...and everything will be fine.

maybe you should go to like some more openly parties jus hang out there get to know people at first or just observe them and see who you wanna talk too.
