I have no idea of the official name for it, but I saw one at Toys R Us last night. Another fun thing to do with them is push your face into them, it shows a perfect 3D impression- very cool!

I know exactly what you mean, but, I couldn't find that it had a specific name. In this website, they just called it "pin impressions".

oh yeah, that thing was cool! we called it a pincushion, but I am sure that is not the official name.
