I read both real books and e-books on my Pocket PC. Love them both. But I tend to read e-books more often than real paper books. One of the reasons is that I live in a non-English speaking country and the amount of paper books in English is somewhat limited, whereas there is always a wide selection of e-books thanks to the Internet.

I read about 100 real books this year and 10 e-books. I don't think reading online will become too popular b/c your eyes tend to hurt after reading for about two hours and people who don't have laptops have to sit in unconfortable positions for hours to read while you can take a real book anywhere.

I don't think that will ever happen. I've read dozens of books this year. I do a lot of research and reading on line as well but it's not a substitute for a book.

I don't think that's true, because personally I can't stand to read my computer screen for too long. I would rather print it out and read it on the couch if its longer than a page. In fact I have to have a book or something to read when I get on my exercise bike, or when I go to bed at night. Neither of which has a computer nearby.
Staring at a monitor for too long, makes my eyes go dry and my rear gets sore from sitting.

Yes, even with the internet and books on CD, I still read well over 100 books a year.

I've read about 90 books this year and less than five were in some sort of electronic format, all the rest were actual books.

yes. i love books...i basically spend most of my money on books. i don't see how reading a book online would be as good as reading a real book. besides if i spend to much time looking at a computer i get migraine.
