For killing Ravan, only, Maha Vishnu took the Avtar of Ram. Soorpanaka was just a character to bring Ram & Ravan, in contact. This is as per Tulsidas, Valmiki, Kambar & all.

We should not compare oranges and apples. Saroopnakha is only a small, but significant part in Ramayan. Rawan and RAM are the essence of Ramayana.

ravan was one of the most knowledgable persons, even lord ram admits it when ravan is lying on his death bed. ravan wanted the entire lanka nagri to be freed from it's sins.
as far as for swaroopnakha, it was her infatuation for lord ram, which is nothing wrong
