G represents "7", the next prime number after 5 (Or E)

A=1 B=2 C=3 d+4 E=5 F=6 G=7 H=8 I=9

A+A=B A+B=C B+C=E C+E=H

So the next in sequence is b)EH

EH is next, and after that would be HM. The sequence continues by adding the corresponding numerical values of the letters together to get the second letter of the next set. The first letter of each set is simply the second letter of the last set. A numerical version of this would look like this (with a dash between the numbers for clarity):

1-1 1-2 2-3 3-5 5-8 8-13 ... and so forth.
