Ive applied to courses at university in the games development industry, and the only gcses that are required are grade bs in english and maths. The rest will all depend on the results of ur A levels.

Enough GCSE's to be able to do A-levels, and then enough A-levels to be able to do a degree.

It depends what sort of thing you want to do. Of course IT and maths will be essential, but then art and graphic design might be as well. Electronics, physics and possibly even French -or whatever foreign language your school teaches may be useful as well, as learning a foreign language when you're young will make it easier when you have to learn coding languages later. Whether or not these are requirements to get the job, doing those courses will give you the knowledge you need to be able to do it.

The best thing to do would be to ask a career advisor at your school, or maybe even to email the companies themselves asking what sort of qualifications they like.
