Don't think so, Sounds like what we call a measuring worm about 1 inch long or shorter and dark brown, No problem if so

I don't know, why would it. There are over 47 K insect species in the books I have on Entomology, you could have anywhere from a guess to a hundred kinds of caterpillars or "worms" it's probably a Caterpillar" of some type without seeing it.
You can dispatch it with a flyswatter, "Raid" a shoe or a paper napkin.

depending on where you live, more likely a termite or ant larva. VERY bad if termite, not so if ant. If a maggot youve got somethig dead in the wall, maybe a rat.

Actually,it could be a termite larvae. Have an exterminator check your home. The damage could already be done and you don't even know it.
