In Malayalam,Chetana means something which has life and consciousness.In Hindi chetan means consciousness,sensation.

hi lovely girl my Friend's name also is chetna.chetna means the sign or the hope of life its opposite is jad(jd)which means no life for example a tree have chetna .he is able to feel everything but a steel glass is jad having no life and also not able to feel nothing.its a very good name ur parents not only give u life they also give u living name which shows u as a girl full of energy (=life)and happiness.
