A terrorist targets civilians, a military targets the opposing military and threats. Does the US go running around blowing up airplanes and busses, and trains and building that are specifically know to be carrying civilians, no, beyond mistakes? Also, a terrorist operates independently from a country.
Now, if the 9/11 attacks had been say, an attack against a US military base by a government order, it would be a declaration of war and not considered a terrorist attack. If it had target Civilians and was still issued by a government, it would also be considered a military attack, not a terrorist attack, however that country would be facing the full wrath of the Geneva Convention and all leaders would be in a tribunal right now.
Now, lets say a bunch of Americans got togeather, headed over to the middle east without the approval of the government and started suicide bombings of civilian targets, then yes, it would be a terrorist attack, but not by the US, only by the group that is operating without governemnt approval.

NO.... the fact that more terrorist regimes are coming to the fore is purely because Saddam and Osama have been knocked off their perch. Its like all the cockroaches coming out after the lights gone out.
Those two men had the power but like the Americans they went about Ruling their people the wrong way. All the money and power at their disposal could have made them real decent leaders instead of butchering lunatics.

No.
Why don't you go to the middle east so you can see first hand who the terrorist are. You don't believe anything in the NEWS.

And 9/11 was an accident by a bunch of tourists in the west. Please, until you actually go there and see first hand of the situation, dont just rely on the negative stories you hear. There are plenty of positives but the world media are not so quick to jump on those.
Id like to know your opinion on mass graves, sectarian killings, people disapearing in the night never to be seen again, oppresion of the masses (yes ask most in Iraq qhat they prefered and the WONT say Saddam and thats for sure).
Maybe your right, maybe we should have sat back and done nothing, heck its not our country so its not our problem. Let some one else take care of it. Until we get hit again then what would you say?
What would you have said in the summer of 1939 as Hitler marched across Europe? Let him go? Hes doing nothing wrong as long as it doesnt bother us. (Actually the stand of the USA anyway in 1939)

No. Terrorism is senseless violence that targets civilians to make a point to governments...we attack the governments and the "soldiers" themselves...I'm in the military, and I can tell you that great care is taken, and our own lives are even lost in attempts to minimize civilian casualties. In fact, before we bomb places, we drop pamphlets to warn them. When was the last time a terrorist announced he planned to blow himself up in the middle of the street? I can't believe an educated person would even compare what we are doing in the Middle East to what those extremists are doing to their own country.

Irregular verb:

He is a terrorist
We are the United Nations and we support the UN
You are the United Nations and we ignore resolutions we don't like.
They are the axis of evil.

Who knows? Whatever question is asked there will always be an opposite view. Who decides which view is correct? I suppose at the end of the day might will always be right because the country wielding that might wil always have its way.

Terroists....no. Not the same thing. But I did read somewhere that Germany, in a round about way, noted our similarities to the Nazi party. You know, If Germany call you a Nazi......something if f*cking wrong.
